Our Strategic Approach
Ni Nyampinga programme is implemented through a systematically integrated and coordinated comprehensive communication for development approach aiming at ensuring girls and young people have access to information, services and support they require to attain their full potential.
We create, produce and disseminate tailored, comprehensive and age-appropriate messages. To maximize impact, Ni Nyampinga uses a combination of Social Behavior Change Communication, Social mobilization, Advocacy and Information, Education, Communication.
Ni Nyampinga channels youth friendly messages on diverse platforms including radio talk shows, Sakwe serial drama, print magazine/booklets, digital and face to face.
Gender Transformative programming
Ni Nyampinga seeks to inspire change at policy development and implementation level and tackle the underlying causes of inequality by challenging discriminatory norms, stereotypes and unequal power. Through testimonies, role models, Ni Nyampinga shows that it is possible for a girl to manage challenges and benefit from available opportunities at the same level as their male peers.
Youth Participation and engagement
Ni Nyampinga puts the girls at the center of all its interventions. Our projects are developed according to the feedback we receive from girls, and are designed to provide opportunities for empowerment, growth and mutual support. Through the lens of creativity, innovation, and edutainment, Ni Nyampinga co-designs with girls, creates and delivers relatable, age-appropriate behavior-change content into the hands of girls. Ni Nyampinga has a model of Volunteer Mentors and Youth Peer Educators who facilitate girls’ sessions in safe spaces and clubs at school and communities
